Version 3.0
Like all bibliographies, this continues to be a work in progress. This
newest version cites 268 works by 122 authors; a 28% increase over the previous
version. They have been assigned to 51 different subjects (several works are
listed under multiple subjects). Two U.S. Patents are included for the first
time.
The bibliography will be updated once or twice per year depending upon the
number of additional citations and corrections received. Please send additions,
corrections, and suggestions to me at dls@wustl.edu
Two aspects of Subject Bibliography particularly require assistance:
·
The subject "Unknown" contains 18
listings; down from 23 in the previous version. These are citations given to me
without an indication of their subject matter. Not owning a copy myself to
examine, they have been listed this way in hopes that someone will supply the
missing information.
·
Two subjects have been created to reflect
particular time periods “pre-1855” and “1855-1867.” I think that some other
chronological divisions might be helpful and would welcome suggestions along
with a rationale for your scheme.
The underlying database is maintained in ProCite 3.1 and converted to a Word
document saved in html format for FTP transfer.
